Death Penalty Info
Liberal elites have been in an unrelenting, 40-year war with the death penalty. Yet two-thirds of the American people continue to support a death penalty option for juries in murder cases. It’s a stunning rebuke to the Democratic elite in the media, in our universities, and among unelected judges.
Unfortunately, even some conservatives and libertarian elites have gone wobbly on the death penalty, choosing to use it to show that they are willing to break with conservative orthodoxy. But the death penalty saves innocent lives, and the extra-legal assault on the death penalty — a penalty referenced multiple times in the very text of the U.S. Constitution — must be vigorously opposed, or else it will invite more rewriting of Constitutional provisions that Liberals dislike. If you are AWOL in defending the death penalty, don’t be surprised when your opponents are working to undermine the first and second amendments, for example. They will smell your weakness and pounce on it.
The most ignored minority group in the United States today is loved ones of murder victims. They never recover from the victimization imposed on them, and no one cares about them once the media moves on to the next crime story. You want to do something good today? Give voice to murder victims, and their families.
