Open borders will bankupt the U.S.A.
Ask a Democratic politician about Americans and taxes, and they will tell you people are under-taxed. But get them talking about illegal aliens, and suddenly we hear tale after tale about all the onerous sales taxes, property taxes, and highway tolls paid by illegals. Don’t buy it. It’s a massive smokescreen to obscure the fact that YOU are taxed to fund lavish benefits for people here illegally, many of whom came here specifically for the generous benefits you fund.
Massive illegal immigration is very costly for U.S. taxpayers. Free health care, food stamps, and countless other benefits for millions of illegals is borne by you! It is not doctors and lawyers coming here illegally; it is unskilled laborers. Most of them are honorable people, no doubt, and who could blame them for trying to win the welfare-state lottery we make available to all who are inside our borders? But the double-talking economists and their politician friends who try to argue that illegal immigrants are somehow a net plus for taxpayers are, to be blunt, full of it.
Consider this stunning statistic put forth by FAIR, a group opposed to current levels of immigration:
An Immigration and Naturalization Service study found that after ten years in the United States, the average amnestied illegal alien had only a seventh grade education and an annual salary of less than $9,000 a year.
You are footing the bill for that. Times 12 million if the next amnesty goes through.
But it’s even more dire. And in a fantastic case study of why the Old Media is in decline, they almost never tell you this: The 12 million illegals who may be granted amnesty through “comprehensive immigration reform” and “a path to citizenship” are also in line for Social Security benefits, further endangering the solvency of Social Security for current citizens. And some even want to give illegals credit, increasing their benefit checks, for all the years they worked here using fraudulent Social Security numbers!
BEFORE we grant amnesty to 12 million illegals, we need to have an open and through and clear debate about precisely how they will be treated by the nearly-insolvent Social Security system that was intended for and is funded by the American people.
It’s a massive issue, with billions upon billions of Social Security dollars hanging in the balance, and…no one wants to talk about it. Well, we better start talking about it.
