Big Government Harms America

Everywhere you turn, governments are growing. More government workers, more gold-plated pensions, more taxes, more spending, more debt, more rules, regulations and laws, and less prosperity and freedom for hard-working Americans who do not enjoy the civil service “no-fire” protections. The drumbeat for more government is relentless. Every day, in ways big and small, the goal is to strangle your freedom to increase their power over you (and to take your money). As President Gerald Ford is reported to have said in 1974: “A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.” And they intend to take it all from you, if you don’t get involved and use your ballot to send the controllers packing.
